Happy New Year...and Happy New Catalog!! :)

New Catalog

Here is a sneak peek at the new catalog!  I can only tell you that it  looks like Spring is in the air.  I know it's wishful thinking but I for one cannot wait for that to happen. The new catalog is available on January 2nd.  For those interested in ordering a catalog send me an email here.  Besides the new catalog Sale-A-Bration is just around the corner...more on that to come.

I'd like to wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. I certainly can't believe that 2007 is just about gone!  All in all, it was a good year but I'm looking forward to new beginnings in 2008.

I'm also gearing up for lots of fun classes and events.  We will be learning new techniques and using some of our new products so stay tuned.

Oh Me Oh My...they are going?!?

dsc_0138.jpg

This is always a rough time for me!  I hate to see them go but excited just the same to see the new.  I'm talking about Stampin' UP!'s retired list of course!! :)

That is right...Stampin' Up! is retiring a few stamps sets and they will only be available until the end of the year.  After that they'll be GONE forever.  (dramatic aren't I?)  If you'd like to peek at the names of the sets please do so here.  If you have any questions don't hesitate to email me here

Also you'll notice the cards in the picture were made at my last Holiday Stamp-A-Stack.  I just love our Designer Series paper my favorite was the Dashing  (the card on the left).  Oh and you can never go wrong with a scallop circle punch.  If you'd like directions or a recipe of these cards please email me here.

I'm hoping to have another class but I'm thinking it'll be in January...I have bitten off more than I can chew...well at least I can admit that.  New Year's resolutions?  HMMM....that's another post.

Give Thanks

I Love Thanksgiving Day it forces me to stop and think...think about being thankful for all sorts of events in my life ranging from my 3 darling children, wonderful hubby and supportive family all the way to my 3 furry babies (2 Shih-Tzu's & 1 Cavalier Spaniel).  Life can be difficult when you try to juggle all the responsibilites that come with it....BUT...as I get older I realize it's all about how you BALANCE your life.  Although I can get very "stressed" about "THINGS" I forget that mostly things are NOT important.  I remind myself that it's not about economics either, b/c my gosh you could have lots of money and if your not BALANCED, how good do you feel?  Look at all the miserable celebs around us!

I also realize that a Happy Mommy= a Happy Family! :)

So I try to balance and found that paper crafting H-E-L-P-S!  It's never the craft alone ie. rubber stamping, cardmaking or scrapbooking. (although seeing a finished handmade product is such a rush. Right?)  It's the people I do my craft with.  To all the gals that have come over and stamped with me, I'm sending you  a BIG THANK YOU!  You have made me one happy lady and my family thanks you too!  Hee hee...  Getting together and laughing the night away (all the while creating these amazing projects) to the point where my ribs hurt the next day is priceless....So here is a little THANKS!

Look at my Babies! Oh I meant the furry ones....

Milo & Lulu

These are our newest addtions.  Say hello to Milo & Lulu.  Yes you guessed it they are pure bread Shih Tzu's (we keep their hair short).  They are brother and sister (we couldn't pick b/w the two) and they are soooo funny.  They get into everything but when they turn to look at you with those Shih Tzu sad eyes I just melt!  We got them on June 28th, 2007 they were 6 1/2 weeks old.

Great story....

It was the last day of school and my hubby picked up Dean & Anastasia (4 & 7) Christina was home with us (2 years old) ...I was "yelling" that I needed help putting the groceries away.  Mind you we use Fresh Direct and they deliver boxes of groceries to our home.  So I asked them to help me open and put away the last box.  When they opened the box they were extremely shocked to see 2 puppies jumping out at them.  It literally took them 25 seconds to realize what was going on.  It was sooooo funny to see that pause in their face...like WHAT is Going ON HERE?!?!?  Well, needless to say when they came to and figured out there was nothing to put away but 2 adorable puppies they flipped out and screamed and were so happy.  I'll tell you these moments are truly PRICELESS!!

It's unbelievable but they have grown so fast! (the dogs I mean... :)  They went from 3 lbs to 8 lbs in just a few weeks.  They'll probably gain another pound the male more so but this is as big as they get.  We love our two additions to the family.

Ginger our 8 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel loves the company again.  (Our 8 Year Old Shih Tzu Chloe passed this May).  After Ginger and Chloe being together for 8 years....Ginger was "LOST".  So we had to get her some buddies.  So yes I'm crazy 3 dogs, 3 kids, yadda yadda but I truly love it!

My Sisters Bridal Shower...

I can't believe how nice these centerpieces came out! We suprised my baby sis with a bridal shower. Even she said we couldn't pull it off and boy did we! This is a picture of the centerpieces. We purchase the pails from Pottery Barn they were on clearance for $5. Then purchased the shower items to put inside the pail from LTD Commodities. Finally, deorated the pail with Stampin' Up's double sided Spring Designer paper, a bit of ribbon and POOF! an amazing center piece for less than $12 total. The guests absolutely loved them and so did the bride. Horray...I have to say I'm glad all went well.

Major BLOCK

Well, I'm trying to make some bookmarks for my son's and daughters' class and I'm coming up with a complete BLANK. I'm so distracted by the new cards on Splitcoast that I can't seem to get OFF the computer and get on with this project. There are SO many beautiful cards and I'm in love with all the new colors. In case you don't know Stampin' UP! comes out with new colors every year. There are 6 new colors this year and I can't wait to order them. The new catty will be out in less than 14 days and I CAN'T wait to see it. If you want a sneak peak here it is. Peak Here

Okay so off I go...I'll try to post the results as soon as I make them :)
